L’Arc de Triomphe de Bucarest de nuit<\/p>\n

\nLa ressemblance avec l’Arc de Triomphe de Paris n’est pas une co\u00efncidence, car ce que l’on appelle le “petit Paris” a adopt\u00e9 l’urbanisme, l’architecture et la vie sociale de la Ville Lumi\u00e8re au d\u00e9but du XXe si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n

\nL’histoire de l’Arc de Triomphe commence en 1878, lorsqu’un arc en bois a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9rig\u00e9 \u00e0 la h\u00e2te pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer la r\u00e9cente ind\u00e9pendance de la Roumanie apr\u00e8s des combats avec la Bulgarie voisine. Quelques ann\u00e9es plus tard, en 1922, un autre arc comm\u00e9morait la fin de la Premi\u00e8re Guerre mondiale, mais en 1935, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 remplac\u00e9 par l’arc actuel, en granit, qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 achev\u00e9 un an plus tard, en 1936.<\/p>\n

\nL’\u0153uvre de l’architecte Petre Antonescu mesure 27 m\u00e8tres de haut, 25 m\u00e8tres de long et 11 m\u00e8tres et demi de large, dans un style roman-byzantin.<\/p>\n

\nLa grande avenue \u0218oseaua Kiseleff m\u00e8ne au rond-point o\u00f9 se trouve l’arc de triomphe, l’un des monuments les plus visit\u00e9s de Bucarest. Son emplacement est symptomatique, car il s’agit de la jonction de l’avenue Kiseleff susmentionn\u00e9e avec le boulevard Constantin Prezan, la rue Alexandru Averescu et la rue Alexandru Constantinescu, formant un arc radial de circulation qui m\u00e8ne \u00e0 l’Arc de Triomphe.<\/p>\n

\nLes sculptures en pierre, les m\u00e9daillons et les ornements floraux de la fa\u00e7ade sont l’\u0153uvre de Frederick Storck, Ion Jalea, Dimitrie Paciurea, Constantin Medrea et Constantin Baraschi. Il est int\u00e9ressant de noter que la d\u00e9coration originale de la reine Marie et du roi Ferdinand a \u00e9t\u00e9 enlev\u00e9e pendant l’\u00e8re communiste, mais a \u00e9t\u00e9 restaur\u00e9e lors des derniers travaux sur l’arc en 1992.<\/p>\n
